Title: My son died on Mother’s Day weekend. Sometimes I wonder how I’ve survived all these years.
Summary: Mother’s Day is always the second Sunday in May, unless it’s a leap year, then it’s the third Sunday. This year, it’s May 12th, and it’s also the day that our son Alex decided to take his own life. He left us a note saying he was sorry, but he couldn’t go on anymore. We were shocked and heartbroken, but we also felt a strange sense of relief. Maybe he was finally free from his pain and suffering. We buried him in a small plot in the park, and we invited our family and friends to say goodbye. It was a sad and somber occasion, but also a bittersweet one. We remembered the good times we had with Alex, and we thanked him for being our son. We also prayed for his soul, and we hoped he would find peace and happiness in heaven.
